The Club was established in September 1996 by Head Coach, Mark Simpson, with assistance from his wife Erin and Veronique Lamb, and has grown from strength to strength with approximately 130 members. The Club has both a Competitive Class and a Recreational Class.

The Club trains at Tudor Grange School in Solihull and also holds sessions at the Munrow Centre, Birmingham University and Lilleshall National Sports Centre.

The Club enters gymnasts in both Regional Grades and Levels competitions and participates in the annual Metropolitan County Competition. Over the last couple of years the Club has had success at both County and Regional competitions and was the holder of the Level 4 Individual Apparatus Trophy and the Level 4 Regional Team Apparatus Trophy in both 2003 and 2004.

In January 2004 the Club was successful in gaining places in the Metropolitan County Squad with Hannah Askill, Gabbie Cook and Rebecca Cook. In January 2005 they were joined by Caroline Curry, Jessica Wevill and Hannah Bond. Hannah Askill relinquished her County Squad place by retiring from competitive gymnastics and is now a qualified coach. The Club continued its success in January 2006 with 5 of the previous gymnasts retaining their places and Georgina Owen-Smith, Jesscia Bayliss, Samantha Deakin, Alanah Coley and Georgina Mynott joining them.

In July 2005, one of our younger gymnasts, Alanah Coley, became the Metropolitan County Level 5 Champion and in October 2005 Caroline Curry gained the Regional Level 3 Champion title in the 11/12 year old category. In 2006 Caroline took the Regional Level 2 Champion title in her age category.

In April 2006 the Club saw three of its gymnasts representing the West Midlands in the National Grades Finals for the first time. Following their success in the Regional Grades competitions held in March, Rebecca Cook was a member of the Grade 3 team, Caroline Curry the Grade 2 team and Gabby Cook acted as reserve for the Grade 1 team. Later in the year Hannah Bond was part of the Level 4 West Midlands Team at the National Finals held in Guildford in November.

The Club is affiliated to the West Midlands Amateur Gymnastics Association and all our gymnasts and coaches are members of British Gymnastics. The Club's British Gymnastics Registration Number is 41236.

The Club gained the British Gymnastics GymMark accreditation in November 2005. This certifies that Rebound Gymnastics Club has been approved by British Gymnastics as a "safe, effective and child friendly" club.
